Crumlin Together was established in 2002 as part of a broader initiative involving several sister projects in Ulster and the Border Counties of Ireland. The scheme is called Communities in Transition, a project supported by the International Fund for Ireland. The overall aims and objectives of the scheme are to improve towns and villages deemed as areas of weak community infrastructure.

As Crumlin is noted as one of the fasted growing populations in Ireland and possibly Europe (800% increase in the last ten years) it was therefore identified by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland as meeting the need for an innovative project such as this.

It is only recently that we in Crumlin Together sat down to look at our five-year action plan again and to re-evaluate the priorities listed. read more....
